Bike safety

Today we had Big foot coming to our school and there names was Megan and Courtney visible was always have a highvesed on with grey stripes on like highlighted bag we had learnt how to have shoe and covered clothes and how be safe on a bike we talked about  clothes and shoe that was right to ride a bike with,The 4 point safety check the first point was check your breaks and how many breaks do you have The second point was Always check your tires if they are flat or if they need air ,Third point was disc break re leaver and the finally one it see if you have a red reflection at the back of your bike,about your helmet you have to see if it is a bike helmet and never wear other uncorrected helmets because it would fall off and it's not a bike helmet so my favorite bit of the day was when we play a game that we had to compete with and that was box game it was all about having fun and trying your best and that what I was doing My most challenging that I had done well in is to use my break and to look behind you on your right side and put your arm out straight for the cars to see you turn left or right

For phonics today we focused on the soft dge sound we learnt that the rule for the soft dge are the vowels E I and the letter Y comes  after the letter dge soft sound.This is what make the sound soft dge .here are some explain.

For reading I put some paragraphs together for a inference writing i hope you like it.

1.The children like to play indoors during the cold winter months. When would the children most likely play outdoors? The children would most likely to play outdoors in summer because it sunny,warm and hot.

2. It was time to turn the lights on. What time of the day was it likely to be?It would be most likely to turn the lights on when it is night or dawn because it gets dark and you can't see.

3. Greg didn't have time to finish his breakfast before he had to catch the bus. What time of the day was it? It would be most likely to be in the morning because greg might of missed his bus

4. He hardly ever brushes his teeth. Does he clean his teeth often? How do you know that? It would most likely be a NO because it said he hardly ever brushed his teeth and does he clean his teeth often.

5. Mandy lay in the bath until the water was cold. Was Mandy in the bath for a long time? How do you know that?YES because when you are in a bath for a long time it would get cold.

6. Ralph was usually a quiet dog. Did Ralph bark often? How do you know that?NO because Ralph was a quiet dog it never barks so often.

7. Her favorite Easter eggs are usually all sold by Good Friday. When is it the best time for her to buy her favorite Easter eggs? To go on thursday and get her favorite Easter eggs.

8. By midday it is too hot to work in the garden. When are the best times to work in the garden? Night because at night it is cold and it gets freezing as creeps.

Talofa lava my name is Zeta . I am Maori, Samoan and Cook Islands and I only have 6 members in my family.I go to Glen Taylor School. My favourite subject at school is Writing and my favourite sports are netball and rugby .  

I like reading and Maths at  school. I really enjoy our Kiwi sport this term and that is volley. My challenge is to learn more shortcuts on my Chromebook

This year I am looking forward to become a great  role model to younger kids and to become a cybersmart learner .

I look up to my teacher Mrs Saile who inspires me. I love my teacher Mrs Siale because she is a hard working lady. She is the best teacher I’ve ever had and I know everyone would want to be in her class next year. She’s cool, wonderful, helpful, caring, loving and a amazing teacher.
